Movie Court Podcast Membership Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) outline the rules and guidelines for subscribing to and participating in our membership tiers. By subscribing to any tier, you agree to be bound by these Terms and acknowledge our right to update them periodically. Your continued support means a lot to us, and we want to ensure that you understand your rights, benefits, and responsibilities as a member.
1. General Agreement
By subscribing to any of the membership tiers (“Tiers”) provided by The Movie Court Podcast (the “Podcast”), you agree to the following Terms and any other policies referenced herein. These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and the Podcast.
1.1 Eligibility

By subscribing, you confirm that the information provided is accurate, and that your subscription is compliant with these Terms and all applicable laws.

The Podcast reserves the right to modify or update these Terms without prior notice. Significant changes will be communicated to members via this website's Members Area or through email, and continued participation in any Tier constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
2. Subscription Tiers and Benefits
The Podcast offers several Tiers, each with distinct benefits and levels of engagement. Current Tiers include but are not limited to:

2.1 Tier Descriptions and Benefits

Each Tier includes benefits such as exclusive content, merchandise, voting rights, and other rewards as described on our Membership page.

Benefits are subject to change, replacement, or discontinuation at the Podcast’s discretion, and patrons will be informed of any major changes.
2.2 Tier Availability

Tiers may be limited or discontinued at the Podcast’s discretion. If a Tier is discontinued, patrons subscribed to that Tier will be given options to select a different Tier or cancel their subscription.
3. Payments, Fees, and Cancellation Policy
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s billing and cancellation policies. Please refer to Stripe’s Terms of Service for additional details regarding payments and billing cycles.
3.1 Monthly Billing

All Tiers are billed on a monthly basis and in advance through Stripe’s payment processing.

Payments are automatically deducted each month on the same day as your original subscription date unless canceled or updated by you directly on this website.
3.2 Refund Policy

Payments are non-refundable unless required by law.

Patrons may cancel their subscription at any time, and they will retain access to Tier benefits until the end of their billing period.
3.3 Cancellations

To cancel, members must log into their Member Account and follow the cancellation process. No refunds will be provided for partial months unless required by law.
3.4 Suspension or Termination of Membership

The Podcast reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership due to violations of these Terms, inappropriate behavior, or abuse of the benefits provided.
4. Delivery of Benefits
Benefits for each Tier may include digital content, physical merchandise, exclusive voting opportunities, early access, and other rewards. By subscribing, patrons acknowledge that benefit delivery may vary based on the nature of the benefit.
4.1 Digital Rewards

Digital rewards, such as early access to episodes, digital badges, and shout-outs, will be distributed via email or other specified digital platforms.

All digital content is for personal use only and may not be shared, distributed, or reproduced.
4.2 Physical Rewards

Physical rewards (e.g., stickers, posters, personalized items) will be shipped within 30 days of eligibility.

Members must ensure that their shipping information is up-to-date and accurate in the Members Area to avoid delays or issues with delivery.
4.3 Limited Benefits

Certain benefits, such as the ability to “Overturn a Verdict” or “Commute a Verdict,” may be seasonal or limited to specific circumstances.

The Podcast reserves the right to set rules and limitations on these benefits.
5. Use of Intellectual Property

All content, including but not limited to podcast episodes, images, and merchandise, is the intellectual property of the Podcast

By subscribing, you agree not to distribute, share, reproduce, or exploit any content for commercial purposes without written permission from the Podcast.

Unauthorized distribution of Podcast content may result in immediate suspension or termination of your membership.
6. Voting and Influence on Content
Certain Tiers provide voting rights or influence over Podcast content, which are advisory only.
6.1 General Voting
All Jury, Witness, and other Tiers offering general voting allow members to vote on the trial outcome. This feedback is taken into consideration but is not binding; final decisions remain with the Podcast.
6.2 Exclusive Polls and Topic Suggestions
Some Tiers allow patrons to participate in exclusive polls or suggest topics. These privileges provide members with a more direct influence, but the Podcast reserves the right to make final content decisions.
6.3 Verdict Influence and Commutation
Tiers such as “Chief Justice” and “Governor” allow patrons to influence or even overturn a trial’s outcome. These privileges are subject to rules and limits, which are outlined in each Tier description.
7. Conduct and Community Standards

All patrons are expected to interact respectfully within the community, including in comments, forums, live chats, and any other form of communication associated with the Podcast.

Disrespectful or abusive behavior toward other members, the Podcast team, or the community will not be tolerated and may result in a temporary or permanent ban from membership, without refund.
8. Privacy and Data Use
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. By subscribing, you consent to our collection and use of personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8.1 Data Collection
